I’ve been tagged by Jeff

I’ve been on holidays for the past month as such been pretty slack with a few things one of which would be reading all of my blog subscriptions but I’ve kinda been keeping track of the tagging as it goes from blog to blog.  Being a relative newcomer to the blogging sphere I didn’t think that I would end up getting ‘tagged’ but that all changed last week when Jeff Wharton tagged me.

So here are 5 things about me that that you probably don’t know about.

  1. I grew up in a small town called Boonah in South East Queensland.
  2. I was an Altar Boy for my local Anglican Church in my early teens
  3. I did straight Maths/Science (English, Maths 1, Maths 2, Chemistry, physics and Biology) for my senior years at high school but still ended up repeating Year 12.
  4. I used to have my hair 3/4 the way down my back but I ended up getting it cut off for 2 reasons (1) to get a VIP keyring to nightclub and (2) I had just started my first full time job being a software developer which still my current employer for over 8 years now.
  5. Between TAFE, UNI and my current job I worked as a mascot for a nightclub called Banana Zoo in Wooloongabba (no longer there) which involved me dressing up in a Gorilla Suit and dancing on the street to attract passerby attention

It was easier coming up with 5 things about myself then it was picking the 5 people who haven’t been tagged yet (Well I’m pretty sure they haven’t) but my 5 are Grant Holliday, Geoff Appleby, Paul Stovell, William Bartholomew and Mike Fitzsimon whether they find out I’ve tagged them is yet to be seen.

One thing I am curious about is what happens if you are the last person to get tagged?

  1. An alter boy! Is that where you learn’t to drink like a fish :-)

  2. [...] Warren Schaefer tagged me with this “5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me” meme.  He copped it from Jeff Wharton who, in turn, copped it from Mitch Denny, who copped it from Hugo Ortega, and so on. [...]

  3. G’day Warren, As a result of this post, I leaned that Jeff Wharton also drove armoured vehicles (but on the other side of the country to me) We’re going to catch up at CodeCampOz.
    Cheers — Mike

  4. Hey Mike
